1 cup corn meal
1 1/2 cup flour
4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup maple syrup
2 beaten eggs (or eggbeaters)
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup milk
1. While still at home, combine corn meal, flour, baking powder and salt and place in zip lock bag. Include recipe in bag for use at campsite.
2. At the campsite, add syrup, eggs, oil and milk and pour into a preheated, greased Dutch oven. Replace lid and bake for approximately 30
minutes (if hot coals are put on top).
3. Bake batter until firm. Toothpick test is not reliable with this recipe.
